Family Systems Theory and Congregational Dynamics “Family Systems Theory and Congregational Dynamics” is the overall theme of the 2011-12 Lay and Commissioned Training Program for the North Texas and Trinity Brazos Areas. Under the guidance of Lecturer Rev. Ron Somers-Clark, who served for several decades as the Head of Pastoral Care and Director of CPE at Children’s Hospital Dallas, we are learning how understanding family systems can be applied to understanding why people behave as they do in church settings.
