  • November 27 - First Sunday of Advent
  • December 4 - Second Sunday of Advent
  • December 11 - Third Sunday of Advent and the choir's Christmas cantata
  • December 18 - Fourth Sunday of Advent with the children's Christmas program during worship, followed by an all-church Christmas potluck lunch
  • December 24 - Candlelight Christmas Eve service 5:00 PM
  • December 25 - Christmas Day worship service

 

Kudos for Another Successful Trunk & Treasure

What a tremendous outreach event our 9th Trunk & Treasure was! We had many of our usual trunk games and characters and lots of new ones as well. We served 200+ hotdogs and gallons of lemonade. Pastor David had folks lined up for popcorn until the evening was over. The parking lot was full from the time we opened until we turned off the lights.

Thanks to all of you who provided bags of candy, decorated cars, donned costumes, helped to decorate, popped popcorn, cooked hotdogs, ran the games, and cleaned up. It was truly a church-wide effort and one that was enjoyed by many families in our neighborhood and our own church family.

CWF Garage Sale

Well, we just wrapped up another successful year for the CWF garage sale. We made just over $200 more than last year!! We will have money for our usual outreach recipients in the community. And, all of the unsold clothes, toys and some linens are already packed up to go to Mike's Kids in December!

Stewardship Campaign Successful - Thank You!

The “first” numbers from our campaign reported by our treasurer after our delicious feast on Sunday, November 13, are better than last year's in dollar amount with 70% of last year's pledgers accounted for. Twenty percent of the pledges were increased from last year. This is an excellent first financial report for our continuing God’s work at Community Christian Church. You are all to be commended for your prayerful consideration of how you can be a part of the stewardship at CCC. Late pledges may be put into the collection plate on Sunday or sent to the church to Mary Anne's attention. Thank you from all of us on the Stewardship Committee.
