I have found this approach, which includes using mind mapping to prepare sermons, significantly facilitated this approach to my preaching. has helped me be more relaxed, more personal and accessible, closer to and more identified with the congregation. It has forced me to make my messages simpler with a single focus, which seems to have helped engage the congregation as well.
