Summary: Lyn is a fourth generation Disciple. She provides support for not only to our Area office, but also support the office staff of all the churches in the North Texas Area.

Biography: “I believe my job is to give support not only to our Area office, but to also support the office staff of all the churches in our Area. They are the ones who make sure our events and activities get communicated to their congregations.”

Lyn is a fourth generation Disciple originally from Beaumont, TX. While in high school her family moved to Lafayette, LA, where she learned to enjoy the culture and cuisine of Cajun country. She is a graduate of Texas Christian University, where she was on the Programming Council and headed the Films Committee in 1974-75.

After moving to Dallas in 1980, she earned a Legal Assistant degree from El Centro College. She met her husband, Bill, at their 10 year TCU reunion and lived in Houston for two years following their marriage. She and Bill moved back to Dallas in 1990.

She began working at the North Texas Area in September 2001. She spent several years volunteering in the office at Northway Christian Church before becoming the church secretary at Bentwood Trail Presbyterian Church.

She and Bill are active members at Northway Christian where she serves as Education Ministry vice-chair and sings in Manna, The Way praise band. They have eight four-footed “fur children”; three dogs, Pee-Wee, Molly and Bandit, and five cats, Rocky, Hootie, Ollie, Tilly and Tally. They also have recently acquired three or four porch kitties. Her hobbies include reading, cross-stitch and travel.
