TO: THE MEMBERSAND FRIENDS of the NORTH TEXAS AREA of the CHRISTIAN CHURCH (Disciples of Christ) IN THE SOUTHWEST

 How proud I am of the response of NTA churches to the need posed by two major hurricanes and  25,000 evacuees in the area served by NTA churches!

To date I am aware of at least 37 families resettled into furnished apartments, many cars purchased and given, countless food served and given, and significant counseling provided to evacuees.

Week of Compassion sent NTA churches approximately $25,000 in assistance grants, and the NTA Responds Fund chipped in at more than $10,000.

Still to come are organized work trips by NTA churches to the damaged areas, with assistance from NTA Responds money.

This disaster response has motivated the Church to be the Church in the finest way possible!
